LG has apparently managed to move no less than 3 million G2 units. Yonhap News cites local analysts who say that of that number, some 900,000 units have been shipped in South Korea only.
An LG official was quoted as saying: “Although we cannot reveal specific data, the sales of (the LG G2) are gathering ground smoothly.” However, despite that, the company is expected to post an operating loss for the fourth quarter of the year.
We have to ask whether Nexus 5 has something to do with that. The new Google phone definitely had an impact of G2 sales, offering a similar feature set for less money, while not requiring any contract signing.
The LG G2 is still one of the best phones you can buy these days, and we have high hopes that the next-year’s G3 will be even better….
