Wikipad Announces Gamevice Detachable Controller for Android and Windows 8 Devices

Lookout emulator fans, a new detachable controller for your mobile device has just been announced by non other than WikiPad. The gamepad, dubbed the Gamevice rocks dual analog sticks, an analog D-pad, four action buttons and L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons on top. In other words, it’s an SNES controller with analog sticks and a few more top buttons.

The Gamevice attaches to your Android or Windows 8 mobile device hot-dog style, or horizontally if you will. The D-pad rests on the left side of your device, while the action buttons land on the right. It’s still not clear what pricing will be on the Gamevice, or when it will be unleashed upon the world as it is still in development. We’re sure to hear more about it at CES next week.

Wikipad has also announced a OTA update for its Wikipad gaming tablet, which brings a host of games as well as Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Wikipad owners can now map buttons to the devices controller as well.

Wikipad has partnered with WildTangent Games, and has added the following games to the Wikipad for free:

  • Shadowgun – Madfinger Games
  • Reckless Racing 1 – Polarbit
  • Raging Thunder 2 – Polarbit
  • Sprinkle – Medicore
  • Granny Smith – Medicore
  • Zen Pin HD – Zen Studios

Dead Trigger 2 is also included in the update, bringing Madfinger’s popular FPS zombie shoot-em-up to the Wikipad.
