Rochester Optical announces prescription lens technology for Google Glass

Rochester Optical will soon start offering prescription lenses for Google Glass, PhoneArena is reporting. The Glass Prescription Lens Carrier (GLPC) clips onto the bridge of the connected specs that can contain the prescription lens. The carrier is priced at $129 with a single-vision lens starting at $99. The best part – anyone will be able to setup his/her lenses without using a screwdriver.

Rochester offers many options for the prescription lens, including bi-focals, transitions and tinted lenses, while the GLPC comes in eight different shapes and colors like black, white, red, orange, cyan, royal blue, silver and grey.

The company will start taking orders in late January with shipments commencing in early February. Needless to say, Rochester will use CES to showcase its technology to the members of tech media…
