Lenovo unveiled the Thinkpad 8 Tablet with Intel Atom Baytrail Z3770 chip clocked at (up to) 2.4Ghz. This portable tablet also comes with an 8.3-inch full HD screen, SSD internal storage of up to 128GB, 2GB of RAM and optional cellular connectivity.
There’s also the battery that supports up to 8 hours of operation, micro USB 3.0 and microHDMI ports, microSD card slot, stereo speakers and a pair of cameras – 8MP on the back and 2MP front-facing one.
All this is packed into a box measuring 132 x 224.3 x 8.8 mm (5.19 x 8.87 x 0.34 inches) with weight of 430 grams.
All in all, we’re talking about one of the best Windows 8.1 tablets in its category (with an 8-inch screen). It’s unclear how much the Thinkpad 8 will cost though we doubt it will go for more than $400. Availability wise, the Thinkpad 8 should be out in a month or so…
