So you got that robotic vacuum cleaner, now what? You may want another robot in your home. How about one that will entertain you?
That’s the idea behind Keecker, a smart, Android-based robot that comes with a built-in projector so it can play music and video all around the house.
With its 1,000-lumen lamp, it can play movies from Netflix, YouTube and pretty much any video app, beaming the clip in 1280×800-pixel resolution on the entire wall, but also on the ceiling.
Don’t want the video? No problem, use Keecker’s built-in six speakers to play some tunes from your own library or, again, fire-up Rdio, Spotify, Pandora or some other music app and stream entire playlists from the web.
The whole experience can be customized with a special Android app, and you can also talk to the robot and see it respond to voice commands such as “Keecker come to the kitchen.” Yup, you can make it learn all the room in your home to get the “best result.”
The only problem is the price. With a price tag ranging between $4,000 and $5,000, this won’t be a robot for every user out there. Rather, it’s made for the very few who can pay that money.
