The Samsung Galaxy note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update is here! Well, in Poland at least. The update is beginning its rollout, landing first on the international model, signaling the beginning of a major update. The Polish update carries a build number of N9005XXUENA6, and can be downloaded and installed from here if you’re feeling adventurous.
The update will inevitably hit the states, but it will take a little while. Before KitKat lands on your Note 3, it has to pass through carrier tests to gain the golden seal of approval. It shouldn’t be long though, although customers on Verizon may be waiting longer than others.
Here’s a list of what to expect from the Galaxy Note 3 KitKat update:
- Music album art shows on the lock-screen while music is playing
- A camera shortcut is now displayed on the lock-screen
- New emojis support
- Select between the stock messaging app or Hangouts for SMS and MMS
- Select between TouchWiz or other launchers through settings
- Wireless printing
- Updated Google apps
- Updated Galaxy Gear Manager brings improved connectivity and better email options
Looks pretty good, right? We thought so. Sit tight, and get ready to have Android 4.4 KitKat on your phablet soon.
