Now we know that HTC One X and One X+ won’t go beyond Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5. That’s sad news, but even worse news is that the model AT&T is selling is still running the older version of Google’s mobile platform. That’s about to change in the next few days!
According to HTC, this last firmware is now ready for AT&T’s One X+ and will start rolling out any day now, bringing along a slew of changes, tweaks and bug fixes.
The exact date is still unknown but we tend to think this will be a short wait. Nothing stops you from checking the firmware updates right now – hop over to Settings -> About phone and take it from there. Once you do find the new software waiting for download, make sure to fully recharge your phone, connect to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot and follow the on-screen procedure. Before you know it, your HTC One X+ will be running Android 4.2.2.
