Meizu MX4 to be available in 3 different variants: Mini, Uni and Pro

This year Meizu will not only expand to the West, but will also unveil a whole new phone. Marked as MX4, it will be available in three different variants: Mini, Uni and Pro, at least one of which will (according to Engadget) rock a 5.5-inch, 2,560 x 1,536 display. The Mini model, in case you wonder, won’t be that small, with the company’s Jack Wong saying it will have a 5-inch screen.

It’s unclear which of these three models will be able to run Ubuntu. We’re hoping that all of them will do so, but we can’t really claim a thing at the moment.

Chances are the top-end MX4 will launch in the second half of the year when Qualcomm makes its Snapdragon 805 SoC available to OEMs. Or, Meizu may opt for NVIDIA Tegra K1. We’re just speculating now, but are hoping to get some answers at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Stay tuned…
