Samsung is apparently looking to join the smart glass market later this year. According to an AndroidAuthority report, the Korean company may unveil the so called Galaxy Glass at the upcoming IFA in Berlin.
It was at 2013 IFA when Sammy introduced the Galaxy Gear alongside Galaxy Note 3, so it makes a lot of sense to use the same venue to announce another wearable device.
Citing an unnamed company official, the Korea Times says that Samsung hopes to benefit from an early mover advantage in the budding wearable devices industry. The paper goes to suggest this device will be Sammy’s long-term investment that will help it position in this important space for the years to come.
The new smart glass to be introduced by Samsung is a new concept of wearable device that can lead to an exciting culture of communication.
