In an effort to get more users to try out Windows Phone, Microsoft is running two neat promotions.
The first of the two is a trade-in program, offering users up to $250 for their old smartphone or tablet. The deal is targeting residents of the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada, requiring users to hand-in their perfectly working device with no cracks on the screen, no water damage, the original charger and other accessories. Moreover, the device must also not be password protected and the money redeemed can be used towards a purchase of a Windows Phone device. This program lasts through March 2nd.
In the second promotion, Microsoft is offering Nokia Lumia 520 or Lumia 521 with a 12-month subscription to Xbox Music for $99 total. The Xbox Music Subscription alone costs $99, whereas the Lumia 520/521 is selling for around $60-$70 in the Microsoft Store. This deal is U.S. only.
Finally, you should know that each of the two deals has a limit of one per customer and cannot be combined with other promotions — you can’t give your old phone to get a Lumia 520/521 with Xbox Music Subscription…
