Nokia’s upcoming Android smartphone has shown up today thanks to @evleaks. The press render shows a whole bunch of green units flying towards the screen, and Nokia X in the de facto green Android color.

While Nokia hasn’t officially announced the unveiling of the Nokia X, sources close to the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the device would indeed be unveiled this month. While that cold occur at any point during the month, we’re pretty sure that Nokia will announce the device at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.

The Nokia X is believed to tout specs that include a 1GHz dual-core chip, 512MB of RAM, 4-inch WVGA screen, 1,500mAh battery, dual-SIM capability and 4GB of expandable storage (via microSD cards). Similarly to many other Nokia devices, the X will also be available in multiple colors, 6 of them to be more precise. Moreover, and this is where it gets really interesting, it will come with support for Nokia Store and other third-party stores. The Nokia X is said to eschew the Google Play Store, offering its own app store instead, much like Amazon does with its Kindle devices.

Are you excited about the Nokia X? Let us know in the comments.
