Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 coming soon: Snapdragon 800, 10.1-inch 1920×1200 screen, 3GB of RAM, 6.4mm-thin body

Sony Xperia Tablet Z2

Sony is gearing towards launching a successor to its Xperia Tablet Z. The upcoming Xperia Tablet Z2 has been detailed by EVleaks, which is known to spill the beans on devices before they get officially announced.

According to them, this will be one hot tablet with specs that include a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 Triluminos display, Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core chip clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras and 6,000 mAh battery, while Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show. All this will come packed into a 6.4mm-thin waterproof body. That’s right, unlike many other tablets, Sony’s baby will continue to work even after being accidentally “exposed” to water. Pretty sweet though we must say that Samsung’s top-notch models have better screens (in terms of the pixel count).

Anyhow, chances are Sony will officially announced the Xperia Tablet Z2 at Mobile World Congress next week. Stay tuned…
