New Acer Liquid smartphone with fingerprint scanner to be unveiled at MWC

Acer is gearing towards unveiling a new phone at Mobile World Congress, taking place next week in Barcelona. The image above has been shared by the company across multiple social channels, showing a back of an unspecified smartphone with what seems as a great camera and fingerprint scanner. We’re not sure what this unit packs under the hood and can only hope it’s a high- rather than mid-range affair.

In addition, we’ve heard other rumors suggesting Acer will join the smart watch revolution, but that part is still unconfirmed.

The Taiwanese company is known for offering great value-for-money handsets. Alas we don’t get to play with their smartphones that often. Hopefully, things will change with this upcoming Liquid phone…
