Samsung has just released a teaser trailer for its UnPacked 5 event which is to be held at MWC in Barcelona on February 24th at 10:00PM CET. Not surprisingly, the trailer hints (and not too subtly might I add) at the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S5 at the event. The 37 second trailer doesn’t show the Galaxy S5 at all, instead flashing still pictures of people doing various activities which hint at some of the features we will find in Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone. At the end of the trailer, we are greeted with the text, “The Next Galaxy.” That pretty much seals the deal. It’s now super safe to say that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S5 in Barcelona this coming Monday.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been the subject of many a rumor, with the most recent pointing to two different versions of the S5 being released, one with mid-range specs and the other high-end. The Galaxy S5 is expected to tout 3GB of RAM and the newest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The S5 could be water and dust proof, and include a dedicated camera button residing on the side of the device.
