Lenovo unveiled three new phones in Barcelona — Lenovo S860, S850 and S660 — none of which we would describe as super-phone. Instead this trio is targeting mid-end of the market. All of them come with dual-SIM capability, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 3G + Wi-Fi connectivity, and should start selling from June of this year. Here’s more about each of the three models:
Lenovo S860
The S860 has two speakers and brushed-metal exterior that is resistant to scratches and fingerprints. The specs rundown looks like this:
- 5.3-inch 720p HD screen
- 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chip
- 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.5MP front-facing camera
- 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory
- Massive 4000 mAh battery that can be used to charge other devices using the included micro USB cable.
- Price: $349
Lenovo S850
The S850 has a fancy-lookin’ all-glass exterior, sporting gesture and motion-based enhancements for better one-handed usage. The specs are as follows:
- 5-inch 720p HD screen
- 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chip
- 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera
- 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory
- 2000 mAh battery
- Colors: Pink and White
- Price: $269
Lenovo S660
It’s like a lower-end S860 with brushed metal design and massive (for its size) 3000 mAh battery.
- 4.7-inch qHD (960×540) screen
- 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582m chip
- 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, VGA front-facing camera
- 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory
- 3000 mAh battery
- Price: $229
Chances are none of these three will ever “make it” to the West. Instead, Lenovo will likely focus on its own backyard and few emerging markets…
