The newly announced though still not publicly shown BlackBerry Q20 aka BlackBerry Classic may not be the only device the Canadian company will launch to users all around the world. The Z3, as far as we’ve understood, is at the moment limited to Indonesia, though some surrounding markets may get it as well. One can never be sure.
In an interview with CNet, BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen said that while the Q20 will be catered towards old BlackBerry fans, another model will be released to win over new customers. We would expect this model to rock an all-touchscreen form factor without physical QWERTY keyboard. However, Chen was quick to add that he can’t guarantee this device will be released this year, and its launch may be postponed for 2015.
Of course we’re looking forward to another BlackBerry handset and are hoping that model will rock a much better hardware (than what existing BlackBerry devices have) under the hood. In fact, what I want to see is an Asus PadFone-like smartphone/tablet combo with BlackBerry’s logo on the back. It is my belief that such device can change fortunes for the Canadian company…
