Asus unveils official wireless and wired charging docks for Nexus 7

If you own the Nexus 7, you may want to have an “appropriate charger” to go with it. The cables can be messy, right? Asus knows this, hence it released official chargers for Google’s 7-inch tablet.

You can choose between wired and wireless options with the latter (obviously) costing more money. That said, even the wired charger isn’t cheap – it costs $50 at Amazon, and if you order it today you won’t get it before 2-4 weeks.

As for the wireless charger, the device marked as PW100 is wedge-shaped and has a 60-degree angled surface. The video you can see below shows the Nexus 7 charging in landscape orientation and we’re not sure it will work when you place your tablet in portrait. We do know that other Qi-compatible devices will also work with the charger, though.

The price of the wireless charger is set at $90; kinda steep when you think about it. Check it out from this page at Amazon.
