Samsung is already the number 1 seller of Android-powered tablets. That, however, doesn’t stop the company from innovating and launching new models every now and then.
One of the future devices may have curved margins, or at least that’s what this USPTO patent is talking about. At this point, the Korean giant is just claiming “the ornamental design for a tablet computer, as shown and described,” and that doesn’t mean will ever see this thing launching anywhere in the world.
The mentioned design has left and right margins curved, presumingly allowing for a better grip. Rear and front-facing cameras are visible, but home button isn’t. In addition, we see a super-thin bezel around the screen.
Again, just because there’s a patent, it doesn’t mean the real-world device is following shortly. Quite the contrary we’ve seen a number of patent applications that were never used in an end-product. Only time will tell whether that will be the case with this filing or not.
