T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 Receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update

AT&T's Galaxy S4 getting KitKat update today

T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S4 is receiving the newest version of Android, 4.4.2 KitKat today, as the company has begun the rollout of the update over the air. The update will also be availalbe for install using Samsung’s Kies software.

The build of the update is M919UVUFNB4, and brings a whole slew of new features to the device. Not only does the update include KitKat goodies such as the Google Experience Launcher, SMS Support for Hangouts and tons of speed improvements, but white status bar icons, NFC tap-to-pay all wrapped up in a 388MB package. Not too hefty of an update, but you’ll want to download it over WiFi just the same.

As with all updates, it could take a week or so until you see the update notification on your device. Just hang tight, it’ll arrive sooner or later.

Got my update yesterday….Real smooth and no glitches yet. Thanks T-Mobile! Getting better with the updates. Now just waiting to update my Galaxy S3. =0)

The only problem I had with the update was my status bar. After the update was done I had a double status bar. Looked blurry. But after a couple of days it fixed itself. So it looks good now. I do wish the emoticons would change from aliens to regular smileys. ;)

Update is awful. Ruined picture album setup and ability to move pictures to different albums also charges triple data for everything now and worst of all keyboard and swype are 100 times dumber and cant spell anything correct. I should have known better updates ruin everything
