If Orange can do it, so can EE which happens to be partly owned by the French operator. I’m talking about launching an own-brand smartphone, one that would cater to first-time smartphone buyers and users who don’t want to spend a small fortune on their mobile device purchase.
Details are scarce at the moment, but we do know this EE phone will (obviously) rock LTE connectivity support and a price tag that will likely make it the cheapest device in the carrier’s portfolio.
EE will use its own Android skin to make it easier for users to access various services, while helping the company increase its ARPU along the way. Specs are unknown and the same goes for the release date. More details as we get ’em…
