Huawei won't be making dual-OS smartphones!

A few days ago we’ve told you that Huawei plans to launch a dual-OS smartphone that would run both Windows Phone and Android. That, apparently, ain’t gonna happen anytime soon.

The Chinese firm said it will keep the “open approach” towards mobile operating systems with the idea to offer “a range of choices for consumers.” This, however, means they’ll be making both Android and Windows Phone devices, but not the one phone (or tablet) that can run both platforms.

It is said that both Google and Microsoft are against dual-OS devices though we would assume the Redmond giant would like to see those kinds of phones launching. After all, they [these devices] could help them quickly grow their market-share… or so we think.

In related news, Asus has apparently canceled plans to launch the Transformer Book Duet and remove its Transformer AIO all-in-one desktop from the market. That’s kinda sad when you think about it…
