We’re getting closer to the Smart Home dream with a number of companies joining this exciting trend with many cool (and less cool) products.
The latest gadget we have comes from LG. Their newly announced Smart Bulb is able to connect to an iOS and Android devices, enabling few geeky features like flashing on incoming phone calls. In addition, LG’s bulb with come with a security mode to make it look like you’re home when you’re not, and a play mode for when you’re playing music (Android only). The latter should make every party a memorable experience.
According to the Korean company, these low-wattage bulbs will run for more than 10 years, five hours a day. The price is set at around 35,000 won, which translates into roughly $32 per bulb. No word when this fancy gadget will come to the West, and we (the geeks) can only hope that will happen sooner rather than later.
So, anyone else (besides me) looking to buy one of these?
