We’ve already heard that Motorola may join the phablet market later in the year and today we have a new piece of information to add to the pile. According to the same guy who leaked the Moto X and Moto G in the past (as well as informed us about Motorola’s smart watch before it was officially announced), the company is on track to launch its Xplay phablet during the third quarter of the year.
No other details were mentioned and at this stage, we’re not even sure this product will be known as Moto Xplay. Lenovo, the new owner of Motorola’s handset business, may opt for some other name in the meantime.
Earlier rumors suggested Motorola’s big phone will rock a 6.3-inch screen of unknown resolution. Chances are it is slated for parts of Asia where folks for some reason like phablets more than “regular” 5-inch (or so) smartphones. We’re sure additional details will be leaked in the near future and, as usual, we’ll make sure you don’t miss a beat. Stay tuned…
