Xiaomi can’t stop growing. The so called “Apple of China” is looking to build new facility to support its rapid expansion.
The company’s CEO Lei Jun has reportedly met with Chinese government officials to sign-up a plan to build its own technology park. Construction of the park, located in Jinshan District of Shanghai, will take around 3 years and will include offices, staff housing, R&D centers and perhaps even manufacturing areas.
At the moment, Xiaomi is relying on Foxconn and other manufacturers to produce its smartphones, TVs and routers. Chances are it will won’t to keep some of the production in-house to maintain high quality its known for in China and elsewhere.
