April Fools’ Day: Samsung Fingers, HTC Gluuv and Nokia 3310 PureView with 41MP camera

April Fools Day

It’s April Fools’ day folks and many companies are out with their “innovative” devices. If you hate these sort of things, you’re best off tuning out of the news cycle today and get back to “business as usual” tomorrow.

On the other hand, if you want to see what the major handset makers came up with, this will be an interesting day for you. Here are the three funny products we like the most, which unfortunately won’t be released anytime soon.

Samsung Fingers

This wearable glove has a 3-inch wide flexible UHD Super Emo-LCD display and a hidden 16-megapixel camera. The Korean company wanted to make us believe this is a real thing, hence they included the entire specs sheet. The Fingers have 4GB of RAM, an array of sensors, hidden projector with full HD support called S Laser, speaker, microphone, and 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. All this comes in a 0.2mm-thin package that weighs just 1 gram.

HTC Gluuv

Like Samsung, HTC is all about wearables. The Taiwanese company came up with a pair of smart gloves that feature an industrial design, hologram and BoomSound speakers. These gloves are designed to integrate with the HTC One (M8), and let you “unleash your imagination and communicate in ways you’ve always wanted.”

Nokia 3310 PureView with 41MP camera

Here’s what happens when you cram Windows Phone and a powerful camera into a legacy handset. It also has the unique “ClearDiamond” three-inch touch screen, and will be available in multiple color options, including dark blue, yellow, blue, red and green. As part of the deal, you also get preloaded Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact and Bantumi -, as well as currency converter and original monophonic ringtones.
