Apple has launched TD-LTE versions of the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display in China. The new devices join the GSM/CDMA and Wi-Fi only variants, and are made for China Mobile users. Speaking of which [China Mobile], it is the world’s largest carrier (obviously) one of Apple’s biggest partners.
The TD-LTE iPad Air starts at 4,488 Yuan (about $723) and go way up to 6,588 Yuan ($1,061), depending on the amount of storage you need (16 – 128 GB). In a similar way, the price of the iPad mini with Retina display goes from 3,788 to 5,888 Yuan ($610 – $949). Kinda steep, but then again – we’re sure there are enough folks in China who’ll get Apple’s tablet, no matter how much it costs. If you’re in that group, you can get these 4G iPads from Apple’s Online Store and select Apple Authorized Resellers in the country.
