US Cellular is joining the “no-contract revolution” spearheaded by T-Mobile. The carrier’s newly unveiled “Simple Connect” plans are similar to other such offerings though they are slightly more affordable.
Users get to choose between three different options, ranging from $40 to $60. The cheapest option is made for “basic phones” and includes no high-speed data. Add another $10/month and you get 500MB of high-speed data, and another $10 (for $60/month) for 2GB of high-speed data. All plans include unlimited voice and text messages.
Of course, if you want a new phone – you’ll have to add the monthly cost of that device, divided into 24 parts, to the plan. Moreover — and again similar to what other carriers are selling — there’s an option to trade-in your device after 12 months and start payments over with a new one.
The only question is whether US Cellular’s coverage works for you?
