Lenovo is about to seriously go against Xiaomi and other emerging phone makers. The company will soon launch the Golden Warrior S8, a fancy lookin’ smartphone with rock-solid specs (for a mid-range device). It will come with a large 5.3-inch 720p HD screen, MediaTek’s octa-core chip clocked at 1.4GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,000 mAh battery. In addition, there’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front.
Unfortunately though, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean rather than KitKat is running the show, though we would be surprised if the update doesn’t come along in the next few months or so.
As you would imagine from its name, the Golden Warrior S8 rocks a gold-colored shell and an amazing price of just $130. That’s an awesome deal though unfortunately it’s reserved for folks living in China, only. We’ve no idea whether this model will ever make it to the Western hemisphere and even if it does, the price will undoubtedly go north…
