The ZTE Star 1 we’ve seen few days ago is now officially official. Alas, we’re not sure when or even whether it will hit the Western hemisphere. In the meantime, users in China will be able to pick it up for the equivalent of $225.
That cash gets you a decent mid-ranger with specs that include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip clocked at 1.6GHz, 5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. In addition, there’s a 2,300mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity support, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, while Android 4.4.2 KitKat is running the show. Users will be able to choose between three different colors, including black, white and pink.
With sexy lookin’ metal body (we think it’s made from metal), the Star 1 is obviously going for folks who liked the Huawei Ascend P6 and may opt for an upgrade when the Ascend P7 launches within the next few weeks. We’ll see how or whether this phone will affect Huawei’s sales figures…
