Verizon DROID DNA Owners Will get a Taste of Android 4.4.2 KitKat Beginning This Thursday

Droid DNA Review

Verizon isn’t leaving its DROID DNA owners in the dust. Android 4.4.2 KitKat will begin rolling out over Big Red’s airwaves this Thursday, April 24th, breathing new life into the almost two-year old device. HTC’s Sense 5.5 will be along for the ride, giving users some new bloatware to play with.

So DROID DNA owners, keep an eye on your notification bar this Thursday. As with all OTA updates, it may take some time for your device to receive its update notification. If you just can’t wait, you can always head into Settings and download the update manually.

I have the HTC DNA and I just switched to t-mobile. The DNA works great on T-Mobile but will I get the KitKat update?

Nope,u gotta have a Verizon SIM card in it.For the last update(4.2) I had to use my sister’s SIM card(she has vzw).U only need to put it in for the update.once it downloads it and reboots with the update u can switch back and it’ll stay like that.Right now I’m using my DNA with straight talk(at&t’s towers).Couldn’t be happier

That’s what I expected. Is there anyway to download the update from the HTC software on my computer?
