No surprises here – Samsung Galaxy S5 will get its Google Play Edition variant, as attested by the leaked screenshot you can see above.
We’re not sure when this will happen exactly, but chances are we’re days away from this phone’s official launch.
The way I see things, it’s up to Samsung to port its camera software and several device specific functions to the more native Google experience, and… that’s it. Owners of this device will still want to access that heart rate monitor and for that the Korean company will have to re-code the existing app.
Anyway, with the Galaxy S5 getting the Google Play Edition treatment, we’re sure HTC will pursue the opportunity as well, and offer its hot-new One M8 in the Play Store, as well. More to come, obviously.
