Oppo Yoyo with 4.7-inch qHD screen, MediaTek’s quad-core CPU launched in Malaysia

Aside from its flagship Find phones, Oppo keeps launching low-cost devices for the world’s emerging markets. One such device has been recently unveiled in Malaysia; called Oppo Yoyo, it’s made for folks who don’t want to pay a premium for the latest bells and whistles they won’t be using anyway.

Specs wise, this phone comes with a 4.7-inch qHD touchscreen (540 x 960 pixels) that works even with gloves on, MediaTek’s low-end MT6582M quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 1,900 mAh battery.

In addition, the Yoyo boasts MediaTek’s new Hotknot file sharing standard, and Oppo’s own fancy ColorOS with gesture controls. It remains to be seen whether these are the features people in Malaysia care about… Pricing hasn’t been announced yet…
