LG F90 is heading to two of the Sprint-owned prepaid carriers, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. However, once it lands in the two operators’ portfolios, this phone will be known under a different name – LG Volt.
Specs wise, we’re talking about a rather mediocre smartphone with specs that include a 4.7-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) screen, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz and just 512MB of RAM. In addition, the Volt packs an 8-megapixel camera on the back, VGA front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity support and a rather solid 3,000 mAh battery. Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show with LG’s own customizations — Knock Code included — singing on top.
All said, we expect the Volt / F90 to cost no more than $150 sans any strings attached. Unfortunately, we’ve no idea when Boost Mobile / Virgin Mobile will officially launch LG’s baby, but chances are this will be a short wait.
