The earlier rumored Pantech Vega Iron 2 is now officially announced, and it’s rather amazing device despite lacking the Snapdragon 805 chip (as we’ve heard before). Rather, it relies on the still-solid Snapdragon 801, which is known for powering the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
Rest of the specs include a 5.3-inch full HD AMOLED screen, full 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 32GB of internal storage and a rather big 3,220 mAh battery. All this comes packed in a 7.9mm-thin body with metal frame and faux leather on the back a la some Samsung-made devices. Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show.
Unfortunately though, the Vega Iron 2 is pretty much stuck to South Korea and if you want to buy one, you’ll have to turn to some importer. Meanwhile, Koreans will be able to grab one of these by the end of May, choosing between few fancy color options you can see on this page…
