Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 KitKat rollout has started with South Korea and Poland

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for its 8-inch tablet, Galaxy Note 8.0. The first countries to get the new software are South Korea and Poland with others likely to follow up shortly.

After the update, you’ll get a firmware bump to version M500WKXUBND9 that includes a number of KitKat enhancements along with Samsung software updates. Notable changes include improved performance and battery life, full-screen album art on the lock screen, wireless printing support and that white status bar which is pretty much an indicator that some device is running the latest version of Google’s mobile platform.

As that’s usually the case, we suggest you to backup all the data before tapping the “update” button. It’s a good practice to have a copy of vital information in case something goes wrong. Moreover, you should make sure the Note 8.0 has enough juice to take you through the entire process. If that’s on place, and you got the notification about the update, you’re good to go. ;)
