International LG G2 starts getting Knock Code update

LG has started sending out Knock Code updates for its last year’s / still current flagship. The new software builds on top of KnockOn which was introduced with the G2, only to be replaced by improved Knock Code a few months later (with the G Pro 2).

However, the LG G2 users are still using the old KnockOn software, which let’s face it – works perfectly for majority of users. Knock Code builds on top of that, adding features not everyone will use. As far as I’m concerned, all I need is basic double-tap unlocking, but hey – some of us have different needs.

The international G2 units are the first to get the new goodies though we’re sure the rest of the world will get their serving of Knock Code in no time at all…

  • Is this exclusive to LG or could other smartphones have something like this?

This is LG exclusive. And Knock Code is more secure than KnockOn. Using it, you can more easily hide stuff from your wife. 😉
