ZTE Nubia W5 with Windows Phone 8.1, Snapdragon 801 coming soon

ZTE is preparing to get back to the Windows Phone market, Unwired View is reporting. Quoting sources from China, they say the upcoming device will use the Nubia brand and boast top-notch specs. These will include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, LTE connectivity support and a huge 4,500 mAh battery. Screen size was not mentioned, but judging by the battery’s capacity, we would expect this to be a big device, aka phablet.

It’s still unclear when the ZTE Nubia W5 will be officially announced, but chances are we won’t be waiting forever to see it in action. We are, however, uncertain about its release date in the West. Chinese firm doesn’t have well-established distribution channels and more often than not, we get to see their flagship devices long after they’re considered cool. Perhaps this time round Microsoft chips in and helps ZTE, perhaps not. We’ll see…
