Sad news folks. It looks like the soon-to-be-launched LG G3 will rock Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 rather than faster Snapdragon 805 chip.
You can see key specs from the photo above, which was taken during the recent event LG organized for Korean operators. We hoped that LG will include a faster Snapdragon 805, but I guess that chip is still not ready for prime time. That said, we are kinda concerned that the current Snapdragon 801 won’t have sufficient power to handle 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with ease.
Aside from the mentioned 5.5-inch QHD screen and Snapdragon 801, the G3 will also sport 3GB of RAM, 150Mbps LTE connectivity support, 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash and OIS+, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and so on. Interestingly enough, microSD card slot wasn’t mentioned on that slide and we can only hope LG forgot to include it in its presentation.
Size wise, the LG G3 will measure in at 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm, making the device only marginally bigger than the 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S5. That’s pretty awesome for a 5.5-inch smartphone, I would say. What do you think? 🙂
