A week ago we’ve told you that HP is working on new tablets, and voila – one of them has been officially announced.
Unfortunately though this isn’t a device you’ll want to buy, except maybe as a first tablet for your toddler.
Specs wise, the new HP 7 Plus has a 7-inch 1024×600 pixels IPS touchscreen with un ugly and way too big bezel around. Why on Earth HP decided to go with this kind of “design” is beyond me. Perhaps they wanted to highlight the cheap “nature” of the 7 Plus.
Rest of the specs are equally unimpressive and include a 1GHz dual-core (Cortex-A7) processor, 2-megapixel rear camera with fixed focus, VGA front-facing one, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage and a 2,800 mAh battery, while Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show. Alongside the device itself, users also get 25GB of free lifetime storage on Box.net.
The price, you ask? It’s set at $99.99, which seems kinda fair; but then again – you’re much better off grabbing some other tablet, instead.
