EE announced its own-brand tablet, EE Eagle, which as far as we’ve understood was made by Chinese Huawei. It’s an 8-inch device that will be available on May 28th for £199 sans any strings attached. Alternatively, those going for the on-contract deal will be able to get the Eagle for £49.99 as long as they commit on a £15/plan that gives them 2GB monthly data allowance.
Specs wise, the Eagle has an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixels screen, some quad-core processor (we assume it’s made by Huawei), 5-megapixel camera on the back, LTE connectivity support and 16GB of internal storage.
All in all, this isn’t a tablet you should go crazy about. It will, however, deliver the goods to folks looking for an affordable device to check their email and browse the web while on the go. Or something of that sort…
