It’s only been a few days since @evleaks released a supposed press shot of the “Active” version of Samsung’s new flagship the Galaxy S5, giving us all a glimpse of a more element resistant GS5 with three shiny hardware buttons. It seems @evleaks had more shots of the GS5 Active, which he decided to trickle out today. The shots show us almost everything there is to see on the GS5 Active, which Samsung has yet to officially announce.
The Galaxy S5 Active is tipped to be a rugged version of the normal Galaxy S5, boasting a slightly bigger 5.2-inch screen (vs Galaxy S5’s 5.1-inch display), while the rest of the specs will be very similar. The Active will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel camera and 16GB of internal storage. We do know it will have a built-in barometer as well as the ability to keep working under water for one hour. It looks like Sammy may have dropped the GS5’s fingerprint reader from the GS5 Active, but has kept the dual-LED flash and heart rate sensor.
