Toshiba unveiled three new affordable tablets, only one of which is running Android. Two others, Encore 8 and Encore 10, are powered by Windows.
First, we’re going to deal with two Windows devices. Both the Encore 8 and 10 rock Intel’s quad-core Atom chip and screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The 8-inch model will sell for $200 whereas the bigger, 10-inch unit will go for $70 more (for a total of $270).
As for that Android model, Toshiba Excite Go, it has a 7-inch screen with fairly low resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of box and has a battery that can last for 8 hours. While these are everything but impressive specs, one should consider the amount of cash the Japanese company is asking for the Excite Go – you can’t expect anything better for $110, anyway.
So are you looking into buying one of these tablets?
