Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat updates for U.S. Cellular’s Galaxy S3 and Sprint’s Galaxy Note II.
Both devices will get the performance and battery life improvements after the update, as well as other enhancements included in the latest version of Google’s mobile platform. Furthermore, there will also be some of Sammy’s own improvements and tweaks, all of which should deliver a that much better user experience.
Yeah, we advise you to “push the button” the second you’re prompted to do so. It’s not just a good practice to run the latest available firmware at all times, but you’ll also get to benefit from all the changes included in this release.
Your Galaxy S3 / Note II still hasn’t informed you about the update? Hop over to “Settings” -> “About phone” and see whether you can find it manually. Or, connect the phone/phablet to your computer and see if Samsung Kies software can find the latest firmware. Good luck.
