HTC is working on an Android Wear-based smart watch as we speak with plans to launch such device in late August or early September. According to TK News, which had a chance to briefly play with the prototype unit, the upcoming HTC One Wear — or however it ends up being known — rocks a circular display a la Moto 360. The site, which built its credibility by being among the first ones to leak the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, claims that just like the HTC One M8 smartphone, HTC’s watch will also be available in polycarbonate and metal flavors.
Aside from HTC and Motorola, LG is also working on its Android Wear product. In fact, the LG G Watch will be the first smart watch with Google’s wearables platform to hit the market. Other companies that expressed interest to make Android Wear devices include Samsung, Asus and Fossil, though we may see some other player joining-in at a later date.
