Sony revealed a new Xperia smartphone today, the Xperia T3. The T3 is a mid-range offering that doesn’t skimp on screen real estate and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Xperia T3 will come in three different colors; white, black and purple, and will be available worldwide at the end of July. It packs a 5.3 inch HD TRILUMINOS display, a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 2,500mAh battery. A 8MP Cyber-shot camera graces the rear, with a 1.1MP front-facing camera.

The Xperia T3’s design is certainly eye-catching; the hardware not so much. Still, if the pricing is right, the T3 could be a good option for those looking for those on a budget who don’t want to sacrifice performance.
