The other day, we’ve told you that Asus is working on the PadFone X variant for folks living outside of the US, and voila – that device is now officially official. The new PadFone S will be available in early Q3 with specs that are identical to AT&T’s PadFone X. These [specs] include a 5-inch full HD screen, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and 13-megapixel camera in the phone part; the tablet slate rocks an 8.9-inch 1920 x 1200 screen and its own 4,990 mAh battery.
Given its release date, we expected the international model to rock faster Snapdragon 801 chip, but that ain’t gonna happen. By the time PadFone S hits the stores it won’t be as attractive as it once was. Kinda shame when you think about it.
Meanwhile, potential AT&T customers will be able to grab the PadFone X from June 6th.
