Lenovo has started rolling Android 4.4 KitKat update for its last year’s flagship, Vibe Z, GSMarena is reporting.
The first users to get the new software will be those living in Malaysia, though we’re certain the rollout will be expanded to other markets in just a few days… or weeks.
We don’t have Lenovo’s official change log and can only imagine all the things that have been affected. This is a massive 1.2GB download so we would assume there’s more than Google’s stuff included in the mix. Chances are Lenovo has updated some of its apps while also adding new stuff along the way, all of which should make for a that much better user experience. Or at least that should be the case.
Anyhow, the Vibe Z is still a solid device, packing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip, 5.5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. If you can get it for less, perhaps now’s the time to buy one – it’s a KitKat-runnin’ device, after all.
