After Indonesia, BlackBerry is bringing its Z3 smartphone to India, another fast growing market where BlackBerry smartphones used to sell well.
The Canadian company developed the Z3 in partnership with Foxconn to cut down the cost. This, entry-level BlackBerry device, comes with a 5-inch qHD screen (540×960 pixels), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon MSM8230 chip with 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage (with microSD cards). In addition, the phone also packs a 5-megapixel main camera that is paired with a 1.1-megapixel front-facing one. BlackBerry OS 10 is running the show.
Price wise, the BlackBerry Z3 will start selling in India on July 2nd. It will have a price tag of 15,900 INR, which translates into some $265, and we tend to think it could help the struggling smartphone maker grow its market share…
