Microsoft is working on the Windows Phone 8.1 update that will introduce support for folders. According to the blog post at the company’s website, which was quickly removed, users will be able to group multiple app icons and create folders that way. For what it matters, that’s already possible in iOS and Android.
According to TheVerge estimates, Microsoft is currently in the final stages for testing the very first update to Windows Phone 8.1 and should release it in July or August.
Folders aside, the update will also fix some other bugs while introducing new capabilities and features. We’ve no idea what these [features] will be all about, but we’ll make sure to keep our ears on the street and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Naturally, we’ll share every interesting tidbit with you, so stay tuned, k?
