Xiaomi Mi4 launching on July 22nd!

Xiaomi has started teasing its next flagship, the Mi4, on its website. The date is set for July 22nd, when we should see what the “Apple of China” can do.

The look and feel of the page promises the metal body, which is increasingly becoming a must-have feature of modern flagship devices. Even last year’s HTC One M7 had such body, and as far as we know – Sammy’s next super-phone, Galaxy F, will also take this road.

But the Mi3 already has a metallic back? Yes, but only the back – chances are the Mi4 will have an all-metal body just like the HTC One. Or at least that’s what “The journey of a piece of steel metal” should stand for. Said tagline is used on Xiaomi’s website, in case you wonder.

Rock-solid construction aside, the Mi4 will also sport Qualcomm’s fast Snapdragon 801 or 805 chip, 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. Some of the rumors indicated that the camera will have optical image stabilization, which would make your videos that much better.

Finally, if Xiaomi wants to make real progress, it will also have to include 4G LTE connectivity support and chances are it’s coming as well. Perhaps some models will top at HSPA speeds, while some others will go one step ahead and allow much faster downloads (and uploads).

As an Mi3 user, I can’t wait to see Xiaomi’s next flagship; in fact, I’m looking forward to try one as soon as possible. In that sense, I’m hoping this piece will find its way to the Xiaomi’s officers’ desk. 😉
